The whole project is planned as a deep immersion into another culture through sharing and joint work on intercultural awareness. The intercultural dimension will be also provided by participants coming from various cultural backgrounds as well as with the intercultural team realizing the project. Training modules on ICL will be provided during the National activities alongside with theoretical inputs on various aspects of intercultural communication and learning.
Network’s activities will highly contribute to the development of intercultural communication skills of participants, which they will use not only during their future project work, but which are also very important for their daily life in their societies, which day by day are coming more and more intercultural. In general it will also contribute to the development of intercultural understanding, tolerance, social inclusion and fight against racism and xenophobia in their respective societies.
While the main working language of the Network is English, a serious part of the work will be done within the communities, where hardly 20% speaks a foreign language. This difficulty will be solved through preparation of bilingual (English and national language) educational and promotional materials and through a multilingual will contribute also to the raise of the level of motivation of the youth from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop their language skills. By providing youngsters and youth workers a platform of communication and sharing will provide them possibility to face similarities and differences and build bridges as grassroots ambassadors of their countries.
A Long-term Networking is planned in five year perspective. |
